Component 1 Developing capacity to manage RDI in higher education

The aim of activities under the Component 1 is to build capacity of the Beneficiary to manage RDI activities in Azerbaijani Higher Education Institutions (universities). The team with the competence to coordinate and monitor national RDI policy and activity within Azerbaijani universities will be put in place, trained and equipped with the necessary tools. New supporting instruments will be designed and piloted to strengthen research performance of Azerbaijani universities. The Component 1 will be implemented by the following Activities:

SUB-COMPONENT 1.1 RESEARCH INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT

Activity 1.1.1 Detailed consultation with all stakeholders

Activity 1.1.2 Establishment of the Research Development and Innovation (RDI) Unit

Activity 1.1.3 Training of the RDI Unit staff

Activity 1.1.4 Study visit for RDI Unit staff

Activity 1.1.5 Development of the management and monitoring tools for RDI Unit

Activity 1.2.1 Preparation of proposal for RDI Supporting Schemes

Activity 1.2.2 Development of scheme processes and documentation

Activity 1.2.3 Training of staff on Supporting Scheme Management

Activity 1.2.4 Piloting of one Supporting Scheme
